Training Courses
Training the Trainer
Widely known as the Trainer's Trainer, Beverly Hyman and Associates has trained more than 20,000 trainers to date. Seminar attendees include both professional trainers and subject matter experts who are drafted to train by their employer. Typically a seminar lasts 2-3 days and consists of three distinct steps. First, trainers are taught to design training in terms of job behaviors and to tie training to job performance. Second, the trainers are taught fundamentals of managing group dynamics including how to promote and control interaction, how to deal with trainee resistance, and how to use varied methods to gain attention and increase retention. Finally, the trainers are taught to use non verbal communication to enhance their presentation style. All trainees make actual training presentations (video taped when possible) and receive written and verbal feedback from the instructor.
Management Training
Our management training services emphasize how to use improved communication to achieve goals and improve productivity. Some of the courses we offer include:

Influence skills - Participants learn about three major types of influence methods and take a self assessment test to determine which method(s) they employ. Through role play the participants learn how and when to use each method to achieve their goals.

Negotiation Skills - Participants learn techniques to create a spirit of cooperation with the other side. Through role play they learn to maintain persistence, dodge pressure tactics and how to separate people, problems and solutions.

Managing Change - Participants learn to apply three principles of persuasion to get individuals to change, how to identify typical resistances to change and offer specific techniques for reducing these resistances. Participants learn the components of the change cycle and in role play design a plan and an implementation cycle for a specific case study.
